ABOUT SHRADHA

Being a quirky child, born into a family of two elder sisters and two wonderfully progressive parents, I was the party starter, lifting my families mood with conversations and humour. Growing up in New Delhi, India, I was an experimental child that loved to try new hobbies, like tap dancing, horse riding, tennis,  screen printing, theatre and nature study. I finally settled on two things that gave me comfort, Russian ballet and baking. I would spend summer vacations, baking healthy recipes and learning family recipes from my grandmother and aunts. I also enjoyed seeing a smile on people’s faces.

I studied cultural studies and film, at the New School University, New York. Working in film production in New York City was an exhilarating experience. Getting my own by line, as a journalist in one of India’s leading dailies, the Indian Express felt satisfying. Being a TV promotions producer on graduation, felt powerful. I lived in New York City in the early 2000’s, I was mesmerized with the Culture, and took to it’s exploration vis-a-vis it’s cuisine. I visited local delis, restaurants and grocery stores, discovering different product categories of cold cuts, condiments, sauces, olives, cheese etc. Eventually, landed up working in restaurants and hotels, as an apprentice Chef and became a food entrepreneur.

In 2012, I launched my own line of preservative free, gourmet snacks and condiments, Miss Chhotee’s targeting healthy professionals as myself. After 7 successful years, I felt burnt out as a solopreneur, fighting retail patriarchy and decided to end my entrepreneurial journey. Food has always been meditative for me, and been a part of my journey, as a child. My relationship with it, evolved with every step. I learnt Ayurveda, a 5000 year old life science and got deeper into my yoga practice, learning different healing modalities and eventually coaching found me.

As an Integrative Nutrition health coach, I integrate mind, body and consciousness in my practice. I take on personalised one-on-one health coaching sessions and work with you on an in-depth basis.
